As part of its commitment to high social responsibility, Aksu Exploration has consistently placed a high priority on creating a welcoming community around its facilities and in the places where it conducts business. Following are some examples of the Company’s initiatives to create a welcoming social environment:
Health Protection
There are about 200 medical and paramedic health centers at the company’s manufacturing facilities. All of them are outfitted with cutting-edge medical technology to deliver prompt, high-quality medical care, as well as specialized training tools so that medical staff can practice providing emergency care. Regular face-to-face and telemedicine training is provided to medical staff from the Company’s health centers on how to provide emergency medical care at the pre-hospital stage in accordance with contemporary worldwide standards. A project to establish a corporate telemedicine network is being implemented as part of a strategic initiative to improve the accessibility and caliber of medical care for the Company’s employees at remote production sites in difficult-to-reach regions. The corporate telemedicine network started operating on the basis of 33 remote production health centers of the pilot group’s mining companies: Aksu Exploration in 2022. As a result, it has been feasible to conduct more than 2,000 telemedicine consultations with significant regional advising centers.
Housing Programs
One of the main areas of the business social policy is the Aksu Exploration Integrated Housing Program. The initiative enables the Company to contribute highly skilled and valued individuals to the manufacturing process in the regions where it operates by employing preferential mortgage loans and the service housing fund. The Company places a great priority on maintaining and strengthening employees’ health while also prolonging their professional lifespan with its top-notch new medical examination program, which focuses on the early diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening diseases. Company personnel receive additional medical services for the active detection of cardiovascular and oncological problems during their annual physical. In 2021, the Company’s corporate mortgage program helped employees upgrade their living arrangements. In parallel, partner banks offer low-interest home loans to corporate program participants (the interest rate is lower than the deals on the credit services market). In addition, the Company’s office flats (which total more than a thousand apartments) were utilized to accommodate highly qualified specialists who were not residents.
